help a noob find the value in this game.

Ok perhaps i have left the noob zone a little early but I was just getting tired of the same thing over and over again. Is there anything to do in this game besides build up your character. are there missions or quests with story? how do i access the story of the game? I am rappidly losing interest in this game. I went to the mainland and typed /who. 5 names came up FIVE PEOPLE. this game is dead! what am i missing in this game?

If you read the preview patch notes to patch two the following is said:

"Through all your travels to date you will have met some of the various tribes that inhabit our world. These tribes still have a lot to teach you about Atys so you may wish to track them down and talk to them some more. Gaining the trust of these tribes and performing tasks will gain you access to a Rite of passage. Fulfill this rite for a specific reward."


In otherwords for patch 2, in order to access some really nice content and rewards you will need to have a decent fame level. Now is the time to work on those fame levels.

I must admit, Im begining to feal the same way. I hope somthing, anything happens soon. I am still waiting and ,will continue to wait for a sign of guild mission, epic battles, or my personal favorite guild wars and gladiator events.

Ive played em all so to speak LOL - an I like this game the best so far. I am relatively new so I dont claim to be an expert, but all things being even the reason I like this game is the lack of children.

The constant bombardment of obnoxious teenagers in ALL SOE games has really turned me off. I havnt really seen any of that sort of behavoir here, seems to be a much more mature crowd.
