I just bought the game in UK, and my in-game "welcome" window says its a Beta.

Is this right?

And, if so, why have I paid nearly £30 for a pre-release version?

Some people would tell you that...
but no, it is retail version, nevrax have a delightful hobby which is forgetting such little bugs :)
Am i supposed to write something witty here ?

probably just an odd bug, few re-logs would fix that I bet
