I created 4 new characters in all 4 lands at 10:30pm EST today.
Results:
Matis: 33 in noobland, 43 in Yrkanis region - total 76
Fyros: 28 in noobland, 16 in Pyr region - total 44
Tryker: 23 in noobland, 26 in Fairhaven region - total 49
Zorai: 23 in noobland, 9 in Zora region - total 32
Total counted in census: 201
(No distant regions or prime roots)

The most surprising thing is that both census' show Trykers as being second most played.

Re: 10:30pm Census
at this time I know there were at least 10+ trykers in resting waters, thats not counting dew drops.
fleeting garden and knoll of disent usually house more matis people,
same with the oasis for fyros,
there are a number of zorat that hunt around as well.

Re: 10:30pm Census
Having roamed around other Zorai zones plenty, you'll rarely see more than 5 people in any of them. Cities of Intuition still has the bulk of Zorai players.
There is absolutely nothing surprising about the numbers, in fact they seem very typical if you travel around. Especially Trykers, they are definately one of the most played races around.
Very indicative and good data, though I know people with an axe to grind really hate imperical data as shown above.

Re: 10:30pm Census
I stand by my stance that until you have a player in each region in game, the numbers do not represent anything resembling "imperical" but rather are innaccurate.
Does this person have four different accounts or actually it would be more like 8 since he stated at least two regions of each race? I don't think so.
And in the time it took him to zone from one region to another at least ONE person went link dead, at least one zoned from one region to another, at least one person logged on in a region he just zoned from or logged off from. One character likely was created or deleted, One account created or canceled.
If a guild ever DOES take an imperical census with one player in ever region in game...I truly would like to know that more accurate count.

Re: 10:30pm Census
These numbers are meaningless. Everyone knows that one Fryos is worth ten Matis!
Re: 10:30pm Census
PR and nexus probably only add up to 5-20, but the outerlands (at least in tryker, matis, fyros) now have as many people as the zones sampled. The sample taken is likely 1/2 the population.
Re: 10:30pm Census
Even if it was 1/3 or 1/4 of the population it's still pretty pathetic.
I really wish they'd sell the game to a company that would complete it and make it into a marketable product. It's all got so much potential but the poor execution and total lack of official communication is just choking it down. Not to mention the B.S. of not even getting it into stores. As far as official communication, I know everyone will hate this, I have to point you to the WoW forums. The WoW community gets several posts a day from real Blizzard reps (Themis-Group rocks! but they've got their hands tied too much). Here are some of the people that post on their forums.

I think the WoW community is definitively more hostile than this community on our worst day, but still they get the communication direct and to the point.

A rock works like a hammer but, it's a poor way to get the job done.elfmatic wrote:I think the WoW community is definitively more hostile than this community on our worst day, but still they get the communication direct and to the point.
I like the way the people on this forum behave for the most part. It doesn't make alot of sence to constantly belittle, and complain all the time just because you don't like the way the the game is going. It's so much better to state your issue and then explain how you would like it fixed.
Honestly, how would you like to be a WoW DEV. Having to read what a lousey job your doing day after day and then trying to guess what to change that would make people stop complaining. What a crappy job that must be. It would be enough to make you take revenge on your players when you reach your breaking point.
I hope this makes sence to everyone its why I seam so pro Nevrex all the time. Im realy just trying to be fair to people that are just trying to do there job as best they can. They are not some big faceless corp. They are just people like you and me.
Re: 10:30pm Census
Not to mention the game devs/designers are french, with english being a second language.
I'd rather see them working on the game than readin through the forums and posting.
