Can´t connect

My account is ok, my server is ok, everything is ok, but I still can´t get into the game for same reason.
I can start the game, enter my username and password, seleect the apropriate euro community server, than it checks for patches...
So far so good...
Then the screen turns to the point when I see a message saying connecting, which is supposed to get me to the character sellection screen.
It just stays there connecting till I grow tired of waiting...
I was connected earlyer today, so I´m not sure what´s happening.
I´d like some help, pleasa

It looks like it might well be a server update that is going on. This same problem is being reported by others with the UK and USA. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon... Be patient and keep trying... The battle will go on and we will be victorious although many may die...........

Yep i was playing , then lagged like hell and got disconnected , tryied to relog and get this error: The Shard is closed

That means the server is closed for update try again later
