Please help. I don't understand.

Today I tried out the con system to check out if what I was told in the chat was ok. I started one star peech bing bang boom, whos next single digit exp.
Two star peech same. Three star peech bang boom back and fourth harder kill, double digit exp. Four star peech first kill tough had to rest 1000 exp. Now this is what I was looking for whos next. Four star peech same type mob tough fight had to rest double digit exp. hmmm maby I didn't see that or the last wasn't what I thought. Tried it again same fight tough kill had to rest single digit exp. Now wait a minute Im thinking, let me try another but differant mob four star peech 1,2,3,4 hits Im dead. Now I dont mind dp but what gives, whats going on, I dont get it. Is there somthing wronge or am I doing somthing wronge?

I'm not that high yet, but Kipee and Carnivores seemed to get the uber treatment during patch 20. Herbavores seem best to fight solo. A bit less exp, but safter.

kipees resist crush damage a lot. You probably did only 60% of your damage against it. With a Pike or Sword, you would have probably survived.
As for the con system, the stars only indicate the hierarchy within a given species and the background color (which is more or less linked to the region you are in) indicates a block of difficulty like lvl within 50-100.
But, a four star kipee would have a very different lvl (check the mats for that once it's dead) than say a four star yber.
The only advice i can give you is to pick one species and work the stars up. Picking a star number and trying different species is quite dangerous.

Well that explains alot. A range system within the same name mob. I didn't think of that. At least now I'll know what to expect. This is going to make things a little tougher. I'm gonna keep trying till I get this thing figured out.

The only thing that bothers me is I noticed this wide range in solo battle. Group fights seem to be pretty consistant in exp. but, I was having a hard time trying to find which mob in same species was toughest.
