If you have not played EQ2 yet..

Post by jksmith »

Do yourself a favor and give it a shot.. I played Ryzom for 2 weeks and after the 3+ patches in 3 days, total lack of content and boring hunting/crafting I gave EQ2 a shot and wow!

There are over 15 actual quests that you can do just on the starter island.. One quest database lists 429 total quests in EQ2!

Right off the bat you are able to do some very entertaining quests solo or with friends!

The mobs are so much better to look at!

Crafting is actually fun AND profitable!

Combat is a blast!

So many races and classes/subclasses to choose from!

Large and supportive community!

I can go on and on!

I post this so that you do not make the same mistake my wife and I did by forking over $106 for a game that is disappointing!!

Slight problem with where you have placed this post, anbody reading it has already shelled out the mullah for Ryzom.

I have played EQ2 in the Beta and I know that Live will be different but it's not going to be THAT different. I agree the starter island is fun and gets you into the game well but once you leave that island and get onto the main world it went downhill very quickly for me. I found the quests very boring and repetitive. There might be over 400 of them but cut and paste seems to be used quite a lot. I am prepared to wait to see what "content" appears in Ryzom in Patch 2.

*looks at jksmith's posting history*

*shakes head*

I will have your access to these message boards removed. You are not welcome here.

It is quite amazing though to see how desperate the EQ2 folks must be.. going over to other online game communities and spamming their forums with hate-threads and advertisement.

Nice try, goodbye.

Well done Lawrance i agree with you this is no place to advertise the game and it is annoying to see people try and pull others from the game.

The sad thing is that jksmith don't appear to be 'people', that was an advert and jksmith is probably employed by Sony to snatch players from the competition.
