Nevrax doesnt get the hint

Post by amitst »

We get 300 signatures on the petition

and they give us

1) No comments

2) A patch with "additional tweaks and modifications"

additionally..after reading all these comments on this post.....you tell me that im complaining with this post, but nevrax hasnt made any comments, and you cant refute it unless you draw some indirect correlation between patching and commenting

And exactly what is your understanding that the petition requested? As far as I am concerned a patch, or series of them is exactly the right response to the concern addressed in the petition.

Agreed. I never said that the pre-patch situation was ideal... but I think they really hammered us with non-required tweeks that felt like a kick in the stomach.

So far my guildmates are reporting some good things about the first changes. But come on please... a level 80 melee should not be killed by two scowling gingos... :(

Until that piece is in my stomach is still feeling bruised.

with Patch 21... Dodge/Parry is about where it was before "The Patch Parade" of the last couple of weeks.

Comparing "pre-patch 1" to "patch 21".... It looks like...bascially... it takes 1/3 the time to kill the same critter which hits 2x as hard... for 1/2 the experience.

So, things that were soloable before are still soloable, but they take more out of you. Since the fight is quicker, you don't have that slowness of battle to regen health over time, and your "ability to use self heal to critters smooshed" ratio is much lower.

Soloing is *possible*, and ultimately the exp/hr should be about the same... (well, half... 1500 vs 3000 per kill, but that's system-wide) but... you just have to spend more idle time to regen health / wait for heal to pop, so it feels a bit more boring....

however, a good duo should be much quicker and safer than it was pre "patch 1"....

An 80 melee could still be killed easily by two SGs? I would have hoped that would be fixed with this patch as well. In fact, I sort of thought it would be when I saw some early result with attacks by lower level mobs. I am at melee 47 and heavy armor ql50. When I taunted a roaming bodoc I dodged every attack. I let it try to hit me 5 times before I even swung at him and he never hit me once. I guess the high dodge doesn't work as well with aggressive mobs? Because the level difference is similar to what I experimented with.

Level 87 melee. I'm in Maiden Grove right now killing scary raguses, gluttonous messabs, mean kipees, gluttonous bawaabs and mean kizoars all solo. Some downtime for stamina and HP, but I rarely lose more than half my HP/STA bar. Been playing since after the patch some solo mostly duo and haven't died yet. As a duo with a L78 healer, we're killing everything up to and including L104 Menacing Torbaks and L96 (?) menacing raguses. Vicious kipees are no problem as a duo. Got two malicious raguses on me and would defintiely have died solo. With a healer, no problem. Ditto for two mean kipees. Got two scary raguses (~L64) and a dangerous ragus (~94) on me all at once. It was tense but healer and I both survived.

Combat seems very doable. I'm really not finding any problems and the aggro ranges seem very manageable. Only thing I'm noticing is that we got stuck in a spawn spot where the moment you killed something, it respawned. Ended up taking on eight scary-malicious raguses in a row without pause until we learned not to quarter/reset them, just run.

Lvl 61 1h Melee. Solo'd baying gingos today before going to work. Didn't die once. Even took on two at the same time once and didn't die, but came close. Couldn't do any of that yesterday.

basically they didn't fix the idiotic damage of gingos and other aggro mobs?.
I guess I will wait tuesday to return then, until the next patch....

92%... 3 hours and I get WoW

I do not know if tuesday I will still be interested in playing ryzom.
