Re: WoW vs Ryzom (my point of view)
hehe good comparison.
One thing I can add, ryzom boards > wow boards, boy are they kicking up a stink on there right now. Some of them are stamping their feet and claiming to cancel because they have made the death penalty and going to the healer a bit expensive. Misses have been upped so they are extremly angry about that. Bugs galore right now, introduced with the last patch; so Ryzom may have it's share of problems but so does wow and the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
Problem is, I love BOTH games

Re: WoW vs Ryzom (my point of view)
Well I haven't played or even looked at WoW (and I don't intend to)but in response to some of your points about SoR;
The Quests haven't been implemented yet, the ones that you talked about are "missions"
About "pets"; in one of the devchats or interviews, they said that they were planning introducing an "animal trainer" skill at some point.

Re: WoW vs Ryzom (my point of view)
The problem is that SoR will introduce all these amazing and entertaining features " AT SOME POINT". This game was rushed to release, no doubt about it, and thus suffers a severe lack of content. Patches are good, they are great actually, but the frequency of patches is too slow, thus ppl get bored, leave and play WoW or eq 2, hell even horizons....
Am i supposed to write something witty here ?

You said about only 3 axe types in SoR. Actually that would be 3 per civilization, totalling 12.
Actually there are 13 types of axes, Fyros can craft a burning axe at lvl 150
