Lonesome

Post by fjolnir »

I was lucky to find my copy in Kansas City. As far as I can tell, there were only 12 copies sent to the entire metropolitan area. None of the EB's had received a copy, but four of the city's Game Stops got exactly three copies each, and I snagged the last one at the store nearest my house. So I played for several hours last night. I remembered how many people there were playing in the beta, and I thought that it would be ok to go to the Firos mainland as a level 20 warrior. There was nobody there! I shouted around trying to find somebody to team up with, but nobody would respond. There wasn't even any chatter in the regional channel. I hope things pick up after all these distribution woes are resolved. I hope that people turn out to buy the game! I chose this one over WoW, and I won't be able to afford both!

Hmm odd. There are many many Trykers. Should really pick up now since they allow us to download the game now.

Many, many? The most I've seen online at once was last night. There were 56 Trykers... and that was during the event. Some of them had made a Tryker alt just to see the event. I do hope you're right and population picks up significantly.

Im very glad to hear you picked this game over WoW as WoW is very lame. You can expect the amount of people playing to pick up as many got there copys late and with being able to download it now you can deff expect player numbers to boost. The game just started give it time for word to spread on how great it is.

´For my own reasons i play on the US server although I am european and I can only say thay the Fyros desert and some underpopulation fit well together.

i rather enjoy that there is no quarreling over mobs or harvesting spots - it will soon enough be the case that everyone will wish the times back where he had a whole pack of Gingos all to himself ;)

Maybe you need to make the mad dash to a more populated civilization?

I suspect Tryker and Matis will end up being the most populated on the U.S. server. Matis probably more than Tryker.

Ok maybe not many many, but it was ALWAYS populated and there was always constant chatter in the region chat.

Give it time. There was no one in Zora last night. Tonight I started to see players.

It's just another *******ized Tolkein world. I love playing WCIII, because it's a great strategy game. But Blizzard's writers (and artists in the case of WoW) really dropped the ball. Have you read any of the Warcraft mythology? I've seen some B movies that weren't as cheesy.
