Thank you to the Developers

Post by zumwalt »

This is a sincere thank you letter for trying to make the game more storyline orientated.

Although there is alot of termoil right now by the players, you do deserve a thank you from all of us for doing your best to supply us with a quality game.

You have done an outstanding job with the trade system and follow through when there are server problems.

Every game goes through its growing pains, Ryzom is no exception, and I want to personally thank you for your attentiveness to the players requests.

We owe you a great deal of grattitude for your continued efforts in attempting to make the game more enjoyable and worth while.

As a fellow developer, I know it is impossible to please the world, so don't try, just do your best to make a good product even better.

To the story writers, keep up the good work, your initiative is a thankless job, and your storyboarding is long hours well spent.

I initially buckled also to the new system with the damage from the creatures, but I have adapted, which is truely allowed me an evolutionary path to take in the game that is not possible in other MMORPG's.

I look forward to your furture game enhancements and content with great anticipation.

From the bottom of this players heart, thank you.

To the GM's, thank you for being there for all of us players, through thick and thing, answering our every call in a very fast response time.

I have yet to have to wait more than 10 minutes for a response through your system, and with each answer I was greated with a warm open minded GM who was able to take care of my needs.

Also thank you to the GM's on the Chat line, for taking your time to talk to me and answer my questions.

The road ahead of you might seem long, but there is light at the end of this tunnel, and I know Ryzom will make it there.

All MMORPG's go through release pains and balancing, take heart, and know that we are here riding through this with you.

Thank you to your management and to your owner for bringing us a quality product, that will grow and prospur.

My sincerest thanks to all of your teams you have in place for the graphics and evolution of the world of Atys.

sincerely

So.... good thing they don't need any other customers??

The story is very nice, but plenty of failing MMOs that didn't pay attention to the basics can attest that it isn't enough.

I mean, yeah, thanks for putting time into your product to develop it, sure...

But, come on guys, it's pretty big world of MMOs out there, and if Nevraxx wants to retain their players, they'll spend the time to get it right. It's not 2001 anymore -- game companies can't get by with being lazy or half-a$$ing things. Mythic and some of the other raised that bar, and that's what players expect. And they should.

I'm also a software developer (though I've never developed direct to end users being the general public) and I totally respect how hard of a line it is, and how hard it must be for the company to do anything because they player pool (what remains) is skeptical and so sensitive right now; the last couple of weeks have been tough for this company, for certain.

So yes, thanks for putting time into continuing to develop the product. But, too many drastic, confusing changes and half-baked things. "Getting it right" is better than "Just trying". Hopefully they are in the process of "getting it right" now.

Keep Truckin' ;p

Shouldnt the developers be thanking us for playing a broken/unbalanced game?
