If I cancel my account, how long will my character be saved for?

Well, I'm fed up with the current state of the game, but I still think it has great future potential. I don't feel like paying to play in its current state. So I'm curious ... if I cancel my account now, how long will my character be saved for ... i.e. if I decided to come back in six months or a year, will my character still be there?

I'm sorry you feel like leaving. Your characters are guaranteed for 6 months, so if you come back before then you'll be all set.

My guess would be 3 months as it is the case with most other MMO's, however I could be horribly mistaken. It could only be 2 months for all I know.

I DO know that some of the games that have told me I only have 90 days before my character, have actually never deleted my character. My Planetside guy is still around after 6 months of inactivity. Poor guy.

prerelease Nevrax stated that they were only good for 1 month, so this gives them plenty of time to fix things before I try to resuscribe. =-)

Problem is, you need to resubscribe in order to log into the forums to see if anything positive has been done to roll back the playability. Kinda like a crapshoot with a $14.95 ante.

ahh, thx Mekos. And BTW, was a pleasure meeting you in game.... You are one of those players that made some of us hold on a bit longer But, alas... still running from the Gingo...alll the way to my desktop...LOL

Everquest was 6 months I think, but they never deleted a single character that I've heard of, even after years. I asked support, and they said it was more of a legal security thing, in case they actually did ever need the HD space.

No clue about Ryzom of course
