I always like being the healer. Is there such a thing in this game? It sounds like ppl don't need one or there isnt one. I always play the healer class and I usually get groups pretty easily cause of the class. Is that tthe same i this game? Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Healers have a full skill tree beginning at Defensive magic lvl51, note that the most basic spell is in fact Heal1 (available by taking at least one magic starter pack). Being a healer is a hard road but healers are absolutely needed, so if it's a healer you wish to be then Ryzom has a place for you!

Well, as has been said by others in the thread, there are no classes in the game. But there is definitely a place for people specialized in Healing in Ryzom, especially at higher skill levels.

For the first skill levels, all magic using characters have access to the same spells/skills. This is important at low levels, because it's easy enough to advance that many players won't be looking for (or need) healers. This changes at higher levels, especially when certain creatures and areas are involved.

Once you get a bit further up the tree, you can begin specializing in defensive magics, which include the healing lines. Healing in Ryzom covers not only hit points, but also stamina and sap (mana). Highly skilled mages will be able to add area of effects and other additions to these healing abilities, which makes them incredibly powerful.

The only limitation on healing spells is that in order to gain experience using them, you must heal characters that are engaging in combat. Healing players that have already finished combat won't help. As long as you keep that in mind, once you get off the newbie areas, you'll probably find demand for healers to be pretty high.
