To anyone complaining about magic resists

Post by syneris »

Put concentrate in your spells and the mob will resist MUCH less. Tested this with 2 guildmates on dangerous cloppers. His acid would be resisted about 50% of the time but his cold would be resisted 80% of the time. He put in concentrate and his acid resists droped to 10% or less and cold resists were about 20%. I'm sure the it helps the same for afflictions. Doubt it does much on heals except possible make sure you get the max heal.
So even tho the description says it reduces your chance of getting interupted, it also increases your level thus less resisting by mobs.

Thanks syneris, this is good news................
I was wondering if there was someway to lower resists, I tried waiting till hp went down but this seemed ineffective and I think the new descriptions do give more info, but feel like it is still somewhat of a crap shoot when I am standing in front of a trainer.

Seems to be in your imagination mate. I have level 83 off aff, 80 elemental magic and 50 defense magic. I put the max concentration (65) into my fear spell and tried to solo a scary clopper.

My resist rate was identical to what it was before I added the concentration.

I'll play around with it some more, but it doesn't seem to be helping me at all.

I tryed it too... and I agree it doesnt work. Heres my solution from another post :
Im 49 offensive magic and 25 defensive magic.

If I use Fear 2 (ql 30) and any nuke lvl 3 (ql 30) on a lvl 30 mob, I should be able to get better exp (at least in deffensive magic) so i can lvl my deffensive magic.

Right now its nearly impossible for me to lvl my deffensive magic

Tried it also and doesn't work. And it has to much of a credit cost.

You peopel are all crazy :-) in the description for concentrate it even says...it helps you to cast the spell as if you are 25 levels higher. But mob resists have nothing to do with anything right now, they are just high no matter what and they suck

the only thing that concentrate does it helps the caster not get interupted as often. doesn't do anything to lower mob resistance.

Credit is far too high for its use. Given the overbuffed mobs and excessive credit to cast at higher levels, it is more beneficial to "Spray and Pray" than try to be effective.

The game is whacked... pure and simple...
