Still hanging in there for the moment. I was unsubscribed but then a fellow player challenged me to keep playing until the 15th. So I'm back, but i have preordered WoW, and I am ready to push my way to the front of the line when if the game is fixed. Right now I can barely work off my DP before I am trounced again. I really wouldn't mind playing two MMOs at once as WoW was supposed to be part time only anyway with a group of friends I already have.
Please Neverax, call me back to Atys. I would really like to stay here.

Same here - I can't even log in atm, it's too depressing.
I would very much like to stay, but it looks like it's EQ2 for me, unless Nevrax pulls the rabbit out of the hat by:
1) Reverting Combat back to a playable format.
2) Giving an honest time-table on content additions, like Guild Missions and RAID engine implementation.
In what is MHO, but probably in synchrony with many others', this is NOT too much to ask.
I can only pray that you didn't break combat and forage in an attempt to stall the addition of real content. Before the patch, everyone and their brother was saying: This is great fun, but I need something to do other than grind levels. Now all anyone (err... those few remaining) is saying is: When are they going to patch the patch to the patch?
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that 90% of the community that was 'leveling too fast' would have immediately rallied around new content that would drive them and their guild to great fame.
It DOES take very poor insight on the part of the Game Designers who determine the workload of the developers to consistantly ostracize the player base by fixing what isn't broken (Blind, resist levels of mobs, and dodge related to harvesting/foraging were the ONLY things broken) to make the environment unplayable in lieu of creating a more exciting universe in which to operate.
Also, imho, whoever(s) is in this role of deciding the deadlines and the content program of the patches, needs to be sent packing, because, alas, they don't have a clue. Perhaps they just need a Turkish coffee and a slap in the face to wake them up, but SOMETHING has to change.
Because even if you do pull that rabbit out, Nevrax does this again, and I'm folding faster than Superman on laundry day.
Love,
Mookse

Re: Read if you are unsuscribed and wanting
I'm going to get my free month out of the game....
But once Nov 16th rolls around, and my free month is over, i will cancel.
I think (maybe i'm way off base) that the game will be fixed soon.
There's almost no one in the game now... It's almost as good as dead.
Finding teams (Which is now 100% required) is hard because there's not enough people of the same level.
So they know that from the forums that gamers are unhapy and leaving, they know from the game's gm's that the players are really pissed and leaving the game.
I wonder if the dev team actually stopped to play this game for a few hours before sending it out.
My personal favorite stupid addition from the patch is in foraging. The 'Reduce explosion damage' I though it would be great! So i buy it for 70 Points! yea, 70!! More then a crafting or magic starter kit... lol
Anyways, i used it, and it sucks. So i read the stats on it.. 10% chance of acutally working, and if it actually works, then (for me in desert), there's only a 25% reduction in damage. So, average it out... 10% of working, 25% reduction, a total of 2.5% damage reduction (per use over time) and it cost 70 points!! hehe. That annoyed the hell outta me.
There are so many new cutting-edge games comming out, that nevrax will have to change the game to get it's player base back. Alot of people are waiting to come back, hoping things will change.
I used to get home from work at 9pm, play straight until 6am, get up at 11am and go to work. I did this from Oct16th, until patch1 was released. Now, i can only play about 30 mins at a time before getting to pissed off at the game and having to quit before throwing my monitor off my desk because i died from a mob that is 70 levels lower then me, and killed me in 4 hits.
I'm a solo-er, i play alone. Now i can't.
Last thing, poll the players to see if they want a skill reset because of patch 19 and 20, instead of just assuming that the stat changes you've made wouldn't influence one's decisions on what skills to buy)
So bu-bye ryzom, it was fun while it lasted.
Me, like many others, will wait around for a short time, hoping to see a good fix come out.
Hard times come and go. But most of the time you don't have to take it.

Re: Read if you are unsuscribed and wanting
Been playing the WoW beta the last few days. The more I play that the less I want to go back to Ryzom. I can recommend it to everyone that wants to see what a finished game looks like ...
