Tracking + Choice only?

Does this combo work? If my thinking is correct, this should lead me only to Choice spots. But it doesn't seem to work. Either I am extremely un-lucky, or the Choice only stanza doesn't work with track. I use the "only" line of prospection, and in the spots that tracking leads me, I often can find Fine or just basic. Is this a bug, or am I just not cut out for harvesting?

On a side note, when I use tracking, It sometimes leaves behind bright blotches on the ground. Is this supposed to be where the deposit is?

lol no. it is supposed to tell you 'deposit at x meters' you move til you get 1 meter then survey to find the deposit.

pardon my bad... you move to get near to the deposit, then the gingos kills you and you respawn in town. THEN you try again. heh sorry forgot how things works now.

I don't know what keriann is on about with the Gingos (they're only slightly harder than before for my lev 51 melee), but anyways, the choice-only tracking works pretty well for me - as well as tracking ever did anyways. The problem may be that you're ending up in a area filled with mats, and since you're not using choice-only on your prospecting plan you're finding the basic/fine mats that happen to be in the same place. That's my suspicion anyways.

Have you tried multiple source prospecting once you get to the tracking point? I know w/ knowledge 1 added it doesn't give you quality information, but you can at least 'sample' the nodes that come up.
I admit I haven't used it in conjunction with tracking, but I have used it when I get back to my spot marked on the map and am in the middle of bunch of other mats.

The fact your seeing fine/basic mats tells me your not adding the same stanza to your prospection. If your tracking for Choice Only, then propect for it as well... you should exactly what your looking for.

I'm sorry, I must have mis-spoke. I do use "Choice only" prospection, but when I reach the spot that Choice only tracking leads me, I can't find anything. Only when I switch to a lesser form of prospection will I find something.
