Look. The huge flaw in your combat system was blind, and to a lesser degree stun.
That was how everyone got super high level in a matter of days and weeks. Why did you not just disble blind when you discovered it? You had to know about, hell players who used it even reported it because they knew it was going to get out of hand.
You could blind anything with blind 1, and easily kill it. Yes, that is obviously a problem.
But where the heck did these other changes come from? Monsters hitting for more damage? Pre-patch things we were hunting would STILL drop me in a matter of hits. Now they do it in one? Do you honestly think that is fun and a challenge?
Also, as I've seen many players, the reduced HP of monsters makes combat less interesting. It's not "Can I convserve my stamina or sap and use a variety of skills". It's wack wack either it's dead or you are. The only monsters I saw whose HP was out of wack was gingos - they obviously had far too much HP for their level/reward, but besides that I think everything else was fine.
Heals do more? It sounds nice, but when you realize that all monsters do like double or triple damage now, your healing power hasnt been increased. It just stays the same. Now you spend all your time trying to res people as everyone else in the group drops in one single hit.
Soloing was hard enough in this game pre-patch, and virtually impossible 150+ (especially for mages without exploiting something) now grouping seems virtually impossible. I'd need a well organized group now to kill something that doesn't even give me XP.
You fixed blind - great. You made stun work like it should - great. No undo all the other combat changes because you have single handedly destroyed this game for myself and many many others. Yes, there are a few people out there who seem to like this, but I get the impression they are either lower level (no offense, the game is vastly different later on) or just blindley devoted.
Let me repeat. This hasnt increased the challenge level (of an admittingly rather hard game in the first place, MMORPG wise) it's just made it plain silly.
I really enjoy(enjoyed?) this game and thought it had a promising future. I wanted to see the story start to take part in the game, I wanted to see Kitin invasions and a dynamic storyline and all that.
The problem is, there is none of that. Right now all you have is a leveling treadmill. And you just destroyed that. Now you have two options. Either make the treadmil more fun and interesting (ie revert these inane changes) or pump so much content in to the point where we are too busy with the story to level. And most likely you need to do it this week, or else it wont matter how good the story is or what goodies you have promised, most people dont want to pay a monthly fee to sit in a game and wait around for the game to be dlievered when they can jump ship, and go have fun somewhere else.
Just revert combat to the way it was, please.

To be perfectly honest, even though I once agreed with this, today I would not want a full reversion. I am having way to much fun with things the way they are.
I understand that more balancing needs to take place, especially at higher levels, and for myself, I would prefer that battles took a little more time so I could exercise a wider variety of tactics, but at my level anyway (42 right after patch 1, 45 now after a few hours of play) I think things are pretty close to right as they are.

Fair enough, everyone's allowed to have their own opinion. But I get the feeling (ie I can read this board) and see the vast majority of players are upset with this. That means something is wrong.
Also, you are only level 45, and, not to be rude, but the game does change when you get into the later levels.
While you may be having fun now, imagine 100 levels down the road. Now imagine the same things you are fighting now, are still hurting you just the same. Now imagine the fact that they will also at the point give you absolutley no experiance whatsoever. Also factor in if they manage to kill you at high level, you will amass a hefty deathpenatly (I get 200k each death). Oh, and dont forget, they snuck in a change to the way death penatly works off and it's now a bit slower, so it takes more time to work off DP.
Now do you see that as fun?
Now think about having to go far far away from town to the most remote spots to get XP. Now imagine all the zillions of aggro who can kill you uber fast and who at the same time yeild no XP you have to plow through just to get to an area where you might possibly get XP.
You might be having fun now, but down the road I think your attitude might change.

-Lots of balancing on spells and resists.
-Improvement to the consider system for a better overview of your oponent strength.
-The balance of players' and mobs' chances to dodging and parrying each others' attacks has been improved.
Most of us think these changes must be reverted, these are NOT improvements !! its what's killing your game.
If you could revert this mistakes The Saga Of Ryzom will be enjoiable once again.
Let me just mention the mistakes on that patch, quoted from the release notes:
-Lots of balancing on spells and resists.
-Improvement to the consider system for a better overview of your oponent strength.
-The balance of players' and mobs' chances to dodging and parrying each others' attacks has been improved.
Most of us think these changes must be reverted, these are NOT improvements !! its what's killing your game.

No, this is not working for me a 140+ mele, i have to kill thigs like for 50xp points, never gona be able to upgrade my mele this way.
Fighting has become bad, its fast, everyhit lands with full damage most of the time , and fights are just quick, dull, boring, and unfair, i could kill a 160 kipe before patch and get XP, now that kipe kills me almost instantly.
Plz dont say your happy with this

I agree with Mordred3 and know that so do many of my guildmates. Please make some changes quickly, as people are already leaving. And many are prepared to follow.

Yeah. That's my concern. This game has such potential, but it's all going to be wasted because everyone is being run off in droves. My entire guild is thinking about leaving soon. That's 50+ players in an already small playerbase.

but he is; because you obviously exploited the game to be at 140+
and its only right that you must wait the mandatory month or two til everyone else catches up killing 50xp monsters before they will relax the game enough that everyone is able to progress to 160.
the people who are at 200 in thier skills are obviously criminals and should be hanged.
this game is supposed to last 8 years.
i am not sticking around long enough for that. sorry. especially after being slapped around during these changes.
its a rare time im not in DP and 1 mistake such as an add or a higher level wanderer makes it very not much fun when party wipes.
