Mini-patch is awesome... harvesting still gets poor experience (slow leveling) which is fine with me, but you can actually get plenty of mats from it now for grinding or ammo-crafting.
With the new rifle clip changes (4 mats for 24 rounds) I can spend a half hour making ammo and have enough for several hours of group play.
Also, there is far less downtime with harvesting (no more digging for 3 minutes and sitting 3 minutes), which is definitely a good thing... sitting for extended periods of time in a game is a bad thing.
I still think increased damage (or some other skill or change) needs to boost rifle/pistol damage, but at least its viable now. Launchers are still a special-use weapon, as they cost 4 mats per shot and are still 15 bulk, but I guess thats okay... just need to fix the packer access bug.
I really don' t mind slower-leveling and tougher fighting challenges, just as long as the game is fun, which it wasn't before the mini-patch.
I think I may decide to re-subscribe after the original patch 1 fiasco.

I agree with you completly. i am a pure ranged crafter so i have noticed the chanes. Damage needs to be upped BIG TIME a ql10 autolauncher clip (25 mats) each bullet does about 50 dmg, 6 bullets in clip.

My Q50 rifle with Q50 choice max damage ammo gets about 105 damage per shot.
Damage stats on the gun do not seem to affect damage done by the ammo. I have made all choice max damage guns and found that they do no more damage with my max damage ammo than a max range gun made with fine/choice mats. The only stats that I have found to be rather important with guns is Firing rate and range.
I thing I noticed is that with ranged fight we seem to miss a mot more often now.
