So leveling was too easy, so make it harder. Well, I can agree it was pretty easy to level, probably too easy. But I was having fun doing it and it was still easy to find challenges. Now the challenge is avoiding Ragus and Gringos by the respawn point to get somewhere to work off dp and if you don't make it, well now you have more dp to work off.
Some people find the new patch challenging and still enjoy the game. Good for you.
Some people have to quit immediately. Well, that's too bad. I think it's worth while to wait a bit for a response from Nevrax to the negative feedback. Maybe they'll fix it some, maybe they'll say it now fits with their design goals.
For me though, it seems like it will be another grind. Lots of time to make a small amount of progress. That isn't going to be fun. That's what I was doing in my last game and why I started looking for something new. I thought I found it with Ryzom, and maybe if some of the changes are toned down I will again.
So what is the answer? Play and learn what is needed with the current environment or wait to see if some more is changed for whatever you think is "better".
Another real bad thing is: I always check out the forums before considering a new game. As it stands now with so much negative feedback in the forums, new people will be very hesitant to start on the game. I think the changes need to be adjusted soon.
Waiting for now.

Waiting is ok. That doesn't mean you have to keep an active subscription and pay-to-wait
