Im still at work....wont get home for like 4 hours....so all you kiddies who just got home from school work out all the bugs for me so that its up and running when i get on.

If everyone didnt play on patch day the day after patch day would be the day not to play on.

The lag and server drops are probably because everyone is accessing the damn trainers to restat their characters. I may spend a week or so figuring out what to do with all the xp i need to reslot....ya right ill be swearing up a storm with all the rest of ya later on today.

i'm so excited I think ill have to sneak out of work early.

hmmm...maybe ill just quit....we all got an extra week on our 30 day free trial...that outa give me time to find a new job in time to pay for the 30 days after that. Must work...must work...so I can continue to play Ryzom...dont forget patch 2 is on its way.

ryzom developers aren't stupid... they have monitored the first impressions of the patch, and I bet some of the gms did try to play themselves.... they brought down the server fast to get it umpatched. that is the smartest thing to do.

hey **** can happen, trust me, it's really easy to mess things up.. happened me too once (I am the head of a D&D 3rd edition multi campaign made of 19 dms and over 80 players) I made the HUGE mistake of deciding to take away 'fail on natural 1 roll' and the 'always hit on 20' rules of D&D... and it did lead to... HORRIBLE results.. lone persons that with a normal sword could slaughter entire armies of people just because they had an huge armor class and couldn't be hitted.. dangerous creatures like basilisks, medusaes and beholders almost gone extint by who had big saving throws...
some times things cannot be foreseen this is why I became ALOT more careful when making changes ^^

Eh... 1 and 20... on a D20 = 5% of failure or success no matter what defense you play against, but in this case they can test, it was on the test server and people complained before they put it live. They did anyway, with the complains they could have at least extended the testing period... there were warnings of people planning to quit if the patch didnt come live? I think the patch being live as it is might mean a lot more people cancelling
