Take at least 2 magic packs because 1 only gives you healing (ie no offense).
1 pack would mean you would have to talk to others and team to advance your magic skill (shock horror

I took 3 magic because I intend to specalise in that area.
They do what is commonly called "kiting". Basically you cast a couple of offensive spells then cast Fear. When the beasty runs away you cast a couple more offensive spells, then another Fear and so on. Because the beasty is fleeing then running back to attacking they behave a bit like a giant yo-yo or a wind kite.Unregistered wrote:How are casters at solo play in this game?
The problem with casters as I have seen them is too many folks try to be "jacks of all trades". This game is about specializing (for max efficiency) and if your spending all your SP to buy into each tree, you are thinning your abilities. ITOH, if you specialize you have more SP available to increase your skills as well as your sap. Later as you have spare SP, branch out have additional abilities... early on it's better to be good at less things than able to do all poorly.Unregistered wrote:How are casters at solo play in this game?
Acid and Fear kiting all the wayUnregistered wrote:Gotcha, so as a magic user i'm planning on going all 3 magic packs, this will be extremely magic specialized. Not planning on thinning out on the spec at all until later lvls, how will this type of char do solo?
