Sure there are plenty of nice guilds. Everyone was a noob once.
It's usually good practise to check out the lore and decide if any of the civ/faction choices matter to you at the moment as this may influence which guild you end up joining.

My best advice is find a guild who's playtime coincides with your own. Join them for some hunts or Mayhem and make sure they are a good fit for your playstyle.
