Originally called The Saga of Ryzom when it launched in September 2004, Ryzom is a science fiction fantasy MMORPG taking place more than 2000 years in the future on a planet called Atys. The story centers around a war between two mysterious forces: the spirits of nature called the Kami and sophisticated warriors from another planet, the Karavan.
The game has seen its share of drama since its original launch, initially offering a subscription service, then reverting to free-to-play due to financial troubles of GameForge France, and then reverting back to a subscription service. The game is actually free to download and install, but gamers are required to pay a monthly fee of $10.95.

Well the game was free to play only because there were legal issues preventing them from billing us... so it was more like a re-opening beta.

Funny, I loaded up these boards solely to see if there was anyone else other than me left amongst the die-hard hippies that actually gives a **** that the game/server is almost dead. So thanks, I'll try and take that as a win. =)

Why on Atys would you want stuff from a toon whose highest melee lvl is under 200 (magic is even lower)... If you want the picks I normally have, those can be bought for a few dappers at any tool merchant.

Ahh, the good 'ole days when these little stories used to bring some glimmer of hope... too little, years late though. It's a bit sad, this game rocked back in the day.
