help please!?! /cry

last week after the patch i started to crash to desktop every time i logged on, after a max of 3 minutes in the game. i have tried everything thats been posted to fix it, ive tried to email support a copy of the bug report, and have gotten no answer, and ive even reformated my PC, just loaded everything back up on my pc and Ryzom is still doing the same thing. at the top of the bug report is

"Access Violation exception generated at 0xA8E3FA, thread attempts to read at 0x177AFDF8.
The thread attempted to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access"

does anyone have any idea what i should do?

Have you made any changes to your PC or Windows recently? Are you having trouble with any other programs?

are you running under an ATI card?

if you are i suggest the following, if one doesnt work move onto the next one:

1.Re-install ryzom
2.Run ryzom on the lowest settings
3.Run ryzom in window mode
4.Make sure you have the latest catalyst driver an update was released bout a week ago now
5. Turn off AGP under graphics on config

If that doesnt work then keep mailing Nevrax till they fix it, my problem was fixed when i got the new drivers.

I have noticed that the 4.9 version of the catalyst driver's are more stable, if the 4.10 dont work give the 4.9 a try.

It could be bad ram or overheating. Try enabling a full memory check in bios.

I would also defrag your Harddrive.

Could you try running the configuration tool and switching to OpenGL under the display settings? That might work out the problem you're experiencing.

Just turn the sound off that should help And join us while we are waiting for Nevrax to fix this issue

I have recently gotten that error. When it asked me if I wanted to report it I just said no, cancel and logged right back in. I assumed it was some corrupt file in the game or something that maybe got repatched when I logged back in.
