No I'm not joking. I am asking about 5.0 and not 2.0 If we talk about 5.0 then would that mean there will be a 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 ? C'mon just for the fun of it. Maybe some ideas here will attract the dev attention ???
If Ryzom 5.0 would come out, what would it be like according to you ?
What would be in it ?
What would you be able to do in it ?
Would it be one single server with automatic language conversion ?
Would you be playing it with special 3d goggles, a metalic helmet to project directly into your brain, in a holo-deck ?
When peting a Yubo, would you actually feel its fur ?
Would you be able to feed your Yubo ?
Would you be able to have real life conversations with NPCs ?
Imagine it ...
According to you, if Ryzom 5.0 came out, what would it be like ?

Still thinking about doing a full 3d rendering of Fyros (call it Ryzom 3.0 if you like).

errr... The Sims Online?..jwenting wrote:I'd like it if it just implemented what's mentioned in the original concept:
- A growing, constantly changing and evolving world
- Player buildable outposts contested not between players/guilds themselves but between players and bandits/tribes
- Homins working together to make Atys a better place for all to live
- Tryton Lives!
not an Ordinary Rainbow Dragon - танцующий с лезвиями дракон

That seems waaay too far into the future to make any predictions. Sort of like how if you'd asked people 30 years ago what 2010 would be like, you'd hear a lot about flying cars, but nothing about an internet.
Only two things I dare say with any trace of confidence about any MMO 10-20 years in the future: It'll have awesomely redundant flashy graphics that stretch the processors of that time so far to it's limit that anyone without a hardcore gaming rig will still be forced to play it at 10 FPS, and they'll have manipulating us players into thinking we're having fun while we're really just doing the same thing over and over down to such a fine art that games will have replaced any and all substances as most common addiction.
But what kind of techniques they'll develop for that, I dare not guess.

No, you wouldn't. There would be an emote for that.cherna wrote:id be able to jump.

And jumping would drain half your stamina. *hopes fervently*
