Looks awesome!
And let's be honest, drama makes for good stories.
(What would news be without a spin?)

Riku has Neutral tattooed on his forehead True story!
I think a Neutral stance is important for good news reporting - whatever the report being made, it should ensure there's always something to laugh about for all who read it If the report was faction-biased, you'd really need an equivalent on the other side to balance it out. That would be good if done in the correct measures, but I'd hate to see it turn into faction tit-for-tat... yes that can be funny in moderation, but the authors won't want to see disagreements centred around their reporting.
I think while we have just the one "news source" on Atys, neutrality is the way to go, to give everyone equal chance at a good chuckle

Oooh, that gives me an idea for a possibly fun addition: Riku could have one person from each faction to give small super-biased comments on every news item.dazman76 wrote:If the report was faction-biased, you'd really need an equivalent on the other side to balance it out.
For the first news item, it could've looked something like:
Karavan person: "Kamist fighting Kamist, let us rejoice that at last the corrupt structure of the Kami-alliance is collapsing under it's own wickedness!"
Kami person: "Those Karavaneers had no business getting involved, they sowed dissent and turned a friendly Kamist versus Kamist match into a bitter fight!"
Both would have to submit their comments to Riku so he could decide it's proper deliberately-over-the-top biased and not an actual attempt at propaganda before posting it.
Heck, he wouldn't even need a real person from each faction, he could probably create a fictional Karavaneer and Kamist and make these comments up himself.
