Signature banner question

Yep, that's the next step imho. The png banners are way too big. 47k vs the sleek 17k jpeg banner. Guess the new background is part of that upcoming change.

If you are changing your title, then you need to make sure that the title you want is showing (in game) when you regenerate you API Keys. Take the new information to http://atys.ryzom.com/api/banner.php and get your new banner info.

OK, so you have to generate a new key every time you switch titles if you want it to show up on the various sites ?

Edit: it seems not. - changesd title and it shows up on the banner without having generated a new key. Takes a little while to update though.

My guess is it updates every x hours, or once a day.

From reading the dev.ryzom.com site, it appears there is a cache of 1 hour (which is/was turned off during the test phase, not sure if it's turned on again or not.) So any updates will lag behind 1 hour at most.

The API cache for character data is 1 hour. Probably the banner cache is 1 hour as well (would be logical).
