That´d be a bit out of perspective here

What you refer to as "sky" is actually clouds surrounding the mesa of Silan.
These "clouds" inGame I´d dare say are mists rising from the bark beneath the plateau,
and in OffGame words are something akin to the "mists of war" known from many Strategy Games Covering what we´re not supposed to see yet.

And if a patch will be not only about marking layers, but about the location indicated on the map, than these are my wild ideas:
1. (and most unlikely) - they are going to open the way to the branches... (but there are no branches at that place ); )
2. there will be a "rainbow portal" (Elias Tryton, where are you?) from Silan to the mainland.

Joking a bit, I must admit, that at least with regard to "dev screenshots" and "check what we are working on now" it's quite a step back: we have gone from uber karavan troopers and weird snakey-like Kami soldiers (do you remember the http://ryzom.com/images/devshots/devshotxx.jpg and so on? -- don't bother trying, link not working-- ).... to an R in a map drawn with flags . At least now it is easier to deliver what is announced

No, not so much any more unfortunately. Got no reason to be.

I don't expect it'll be anything major... This is Ryzom after all. If they can't come up with stuff with several months I don't suppose several weeks will be anything like long enough. Perhaps by the new decade? It's not too far now.

Oh well, guess they've got an excuse this time. They were busy with billing. Though what they've been doing while waiting for it, I really don't know. >.<

Clearly the flags spell R for Ring. The number of different colors of flags represents the number of different severe Ring bugs. And the R being in the sky represents that I’d be dreaming to think they fixed them.
