WOW Review

I didn't like the WoW beta at all.

Ryzom is much better.

Basically.. Blizzard took you standard EQ/DAoC type MMO, Put a warcraft theme to it, and fixed what was considdered wrong. Much like getting 2, 4 slice toasters, taping them together so you get an 8 slice toaster.

It still has:

Levels to grind/power thru
level cap
Restricted races/templates/classes
Balanced for PvE before PvP(every MMO does this, it is wrong)
Caters to the have/want/need NOW! players
Offers nothing really new, just alot of ideas from other MMO's rehashed and combined..

It is very pretty..But after the stress test it wasn't as "WOW" as I had thought. I was very exited about WoW, but now it'll probably be one of those games I migrate to after I grow bored of Ryzom in a year or more. I don't doubt WoW will be very succesful, it just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

That and I'm sick and tired of WoW fanboi's.

And just to add my thoughts on WoW. I tried the open beta stress test and I found it boring. I didn't even finish out the week I had.

These types of posts are irrelevant and counter constructive. All it does is bait people into arguments that 'my dilly is bigger than yours' nonsense. It should be posted on a relevant fan site or forum that deals with that game.

Since Guild Wars doesn't have a monthly fee, I'm definitely getting it, but that doesn't mean Nevrax is gonna lose my subscription...

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Than!!!!!! I would have never heard of WoW if you had not posted this thread. Where did you find this game? It sounds SUPER. Please, please, PLEASE continue to post multiple threads telling me about this game I've have not EVER heard mentioned ONCE in the last *&$#ing year. That has to be the first review ever written for that game.
