If I delete a char, will its guild disappear ?

I have 2 char I am playing with. With my first one, I had created a guild (no one in it). I am playing with my second char because it has my real name on it.

So if I delete my first char, will the guild created by it also disappear ?

Of course.

A Guild with no members does not exist anymore.
The Guild Name is probably linked to the one creating it, i.e. its "Leader".
So if you don´t want the guild to disappear, invite someone and make him Leader.
He´ll later be able to invite your second char. if that´s what your aiming for.

Or doublebox and invite your second char. yourself from another machine.
(Works only if the second char. is on a second account too)

Does it make a difference? If the sole member of a guild ceases to exist, there's no way for the guild to do anything guilds are supposed to do, therefore the guild is defunct.

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Is Schrödinger's cat dead or alive? Does Schrödinger's cat drop loot?*

Id bet the guild does still exist. And this DOES made a difference if your intent is to re-use the name. My bet is that the name will show up as taken.

Ok, in some obscure database that´s quite possible, yes.

spaces at the end of the name?

gimme a time and a server and I shall investigate

(the string_cache will know the truth as the names are stored there for faster loading so one could look them up and check the spelling)

Two Guilds with different emblems but same name, spelled the same way. One of those guilds got renamed at the request of the leader and wasn't originally created as Exodus Syndicate. That is probably how such a thing could happen.
