Honor (Honour) Points
Re: Honor (Honour) Points
I missed whole temple building event but honestly I would like that crafters and harvesters could still do something for their temples for honour points. It's somehow funny that such reward as pick available only for pvp-ing hee =)

Re: Honor (Honour) Points
PvP'ers should not be the ONLY ones to have access to honor points. I never said PvP'ers should be penalice for anything, they should continue to enjoy PvP... like I said to PvP all one needs to do is flag up. But to be rewarded honor points to PvP is IMO cheating other devoted converters of valuable faction goods. No matter how anyone tries to sugar code the excuse to give PvP'ers sole access to this content makes the point of converting to either faction pointless.symolan wrote:That's why you're able to use the fame porters.
One needs to work even more to have access to the faction goodies.
While I actually don't care if PvE'ers get access to faction goodies as I'm not the jealous kind there are some very good arguments why it should not be so.
Our gods obviously like to see us kill each other and hand out rewards for being a killer. Anyones choice to please their gods or not.
If one could gain faction points by PvE why actually should that be dependent of the faction. Still all the neutrals would be excluded although they are (mostly) prototypes of PvE'ers. So actually faction-neutral rewards would be needed for PvE.
(Aligned) PvE'ers do have access to faction rewards, they only need to put on the flag and kill some people. If I don't like to hunt bosses I don't get the nice mats, but I still would have access. I simply don't choose to use it.
Further it is certainly pointless to have any kind of PvE-penalty on PvPers like suggested previously. Why should I be penalized on a part of the game because I like another part too? If anyone doesn't like PvP he simply stops doing it, so the decision "to-be-a-PvEer" and have the suggested penalty on PvP is not a penalty at all. Didn't see any pure-play PvPer lately as it seems quite hard to avoid the environment...
If it is absolutely needed - and to me there are other things that seem to be more important to work on for the devs - neutral PvE-rewards should be created accessible to everybody doing the things necessary to have access.
There are benefits?
Yes neutrals have benefits, they get to use the neutral TP's. Is it fair that neutrals are gimp, absolutely not. Maybe that's why there should be a third faction, one that represents the homins and not religion. There may be more important things for developers to be worried about but we are simply discussing here what we think about honor points. I'm sure they read the forums and want to hear our opinions. It would be great if they were to respond to the topics we post and make it clear to everyone why things need to be as they are, because otherwise we are just wasting valuable gaming time discussing things on the forum.
I agree that we need to work even more to have access to the faction goodies, but I don't agree that the only way to get honor points is through PvP. I enjoy PvP from time to time, heck most of the events I hosted in the past were PvP centered. The main point is there is no other way of earning honor points and having access to the faction goodies when there should. Why is allowing ANYONE in any other shape or form of gaming that isn't PvP access to honor points be so wrong? It isn't a new idea but a request to return something that was there before. As it is now returning honor points is good just not well thought out since not EVERYONE PvP's.
