Planetside, (and guildwars) are completely different types of games. They arn't MMORPGs, but rather, MMOFPS. Not that that is a bad thing, they are just utterly different games.

I say try it. Thats what the game is there for, to try it. If you like it, stick with it, if not, come back to us.

Personaly, ive played in quite a few Closed betas for WoW, Guild wars, Ive played eve, E&B, Everquest, etc etc. All in all, nothing even comes close to ryzom. For one reason. (well several) but the main reason, the Devs listen to you. What other game can you ask a question, and under 5 minuites a Dev answers you. WoW sure as hell doesnt. Eve? Dont even try it. And guild wars is just a glorified Diablo clone. (Which, dont get me wrong is still fun)

All we can really say is try it. If you like it, stick to it. If not, move on.

Yes, but I dont know if I dont like CoH and the only way ill find out is buy spending $40 - 50 dollars which I dont want to do if I dont like it..

Well i can tell you this, i did try coh for a very short time, it did not hold my interest. But more significantly, my daughter who plays eq now (she is leader of small guild and though I dont consider her a powerplayer, she does quite well, lvling toons very quickly) tried it and quit coh, i think the community was not quite as close knit (for her) as eq. And atm she is very much into Ryzom............She has told me that even though coh toons are customizable like sor, she likes this game much better.
