I won't lie to you; this game has the potential to be a grindfest. With over 11,000 skill levels that one can obtain, spanning over 60-odd skill branches, there could be a lot of grinding if you let there be.

That said, it's only a grind if you let it be. With no classes, you can do anything, and this bears repeating, ANYTHING you want to do. Naturally, you won't automatically be *good* at whatever else you want to do at the moment, but you can start doing it at any time with no penalty other than the time you spent on the skill. There is no way you can permanently gimp your character. You can temporarily slow progression, but you canNOT permanently break your char.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask here, or in /u ingame :)

Another important note:

The mainland (as opposed to Silan/newbie island where you start) is NOT mission-driven. You make your own goals to achieve, as the game will not do it for you. It's very much a sandbox game.

PVP is mostly consentual, and we have no reason to gank you unless you're cult-aligned. PVPers stand to gain very little from ganking you outside of personal enjoyment, and there are very few of the like around here.

I can´t really speak for the Arispotle Server, but I think its quite similar to Leanons PvP behavior in some leaving you alone and some few not caring.
But as long as your PvP Tag is not active you won´t partake in PvP, unless you enter an open PvP Zone, of which there are a few.
If the Tag is active and you go afk then it would be advisable to do it in your apartment or some other safe place.

All else said, enjoy your stay on Atys and don´t take the boards too serious. ;)
