I have never seen people complain more about a game being free. Sometimes people act like that is the worse thing in the world.

I guess maybe cause in all these years as you can see I have been around for a while. I have not gotten to 250 yet. So I have plenty to do. If some of the older players who throw their hands up in the air, would maybe stay around so that when new players come in the servers look busy.

But oh well, I will stay I still enjoy the game as much as I did when I started in Beta.

Patience is one of the best traits a Gamer can have.
Even tho there have been games that were suppose to be the best ever, and they have failed maybe Ryzom is one that just keeps going and going. Slowly yes but going.

Yes it is to bad that there is not some one who can say something but then again you know how ever one is. If they say ok, in April all is a go.
and something come up and they have to delay it. Oh the whinning and the complaining would be out of sight.

Have fun where ever you go Whiteknight

Well I was going by the fact WK was in Infinity and was a HO in TPM, I dont know anyone else with that pedigree, unless its Morgaine, I was in Infinity with Praha, either way, my post still stands, regardless of who WK really is :)

Nope I dont just dig all day long, I craft and boss hunt too, also being in a quite active guild, there is also the social aspect to partake in as well.

The main thing is, I love the world of Atys, I have found no other comparable MMO world, in which I consider myself to be at home, to anything remotely near my feelings for Atys, specifically Fyros.

This fact, coupled with the lurker syndrome, will probably leave Atys even more barren each day. Sure, there's a few new folks filtering in, but how long are they going to stick around in an empty game? I don't understand why everyone can't just log in occasionally and enjoy Atys while it lasts.
Well I can only speak for myself, and what I am sensing ...the long silences, the lack of news..does not bode well.

I am a long time online MMO player...been around the block you might say, been a closed beta tester in a few games.

Whatever is going on behind the scenes, well one can only imagine.

But in the meantime, the player base seems to be restless, and I have seen announcements from this or that guild that they are moving on to...Wow, Darkfall (although DF has some large problems right now) or SWG ..amongst a few games that have been mentioned.

I think that the longer the silence continues, the more people will drift away.

Communication, of some sort, or even banner advertising..."something"..to show that the game is still alive and forging ahead to new things...would be a good thing.

I just have this feeling that we will be let down again eventually...and I guess I am trying to do what is within my tiny power, to stave that off.

Kudos to those who posted in my thread, thank you. :)

P.S. I agree communication is needed, I'm really hesitant to allow myself to get 'too deep' into Ryzom again, because I don't know just how long it will last. I think thats part of the reason I keep losing the will to play, Because I see the lack of players far worse then when I first started (and I joined in what seemed to be a low point back in 05) And after seeing the numbers right before and early parts of EP2 compared to now... heh.

Probably about 10% of what the pop was before EP2. At best. But I know that number could easily be boosted almost to 100% or even more, if the game would just advance some, and players get some communication, and a reasurance that the game wont just die without a fight.

Kinda like how the Kami fought when the Kami alliance first formed, We faught hard, against almost impossible odds... But we had fun... To bad over time, that fun went away, and people became bitter/greedy...

Its time this game stepped up, and got back on its feet... Before its too late. OPs may have lost most of their fun (IMO ofcourse) due to a 2 sided war, But The game is still fun, and I think eventually, OPs could be fun again aswell. Once enough new/not bitter players joined/returned.

Anyway, I'm not sure how that all reads lol, I'm about to goto bed things are a bit blurry, But I hope its understandable lol. Goodnight all.

Just my trolling little observation but is anyone else annoyed by people calling themselves veterans for playing a videogame? Always thought vets were people who had the unfortunate experience of having to fight in wars....but, hey, if it makes ya feel more important, play on player... anyone disagreeing prolly calls themself a vet too :p

i think your talking about a war vet , there are all kinds, so a game vet is ,i guess someone who has been playing since release....if they rolled all the servers into one and made the OPs guild v guild that would be a step forward...also cutting their running costs ..making the one server full with a lot of OP battles going on.and that would be something to see :)
