The problem that I am running into with storage is a little different. As for my packers, they are fine in all honety. I have three in the area I am digging, two for mats, and one for cats, spare picks, spare crafting tools, armor, ect. I have a pretty good system running with this, dig a bag of each type of mat, store them on the packers, then mass-craft when I get all 4 bags worth. I can usually get about 2 or 3 levels in craft out of this process. Then I find the local hawker, and sell everything, rinse and repeat. My mount stays in Pyr with my tp's and my fight gear. The problem I have run across is in my apartment. I have been on a couple of day-long boss runs, and, seeing that these mats are hard to come by (for me at least) I store them in my apartment. I also have a spare set of each type of armor. I have had a piece of armor break before, and nothing sucks more than having to run around in an incomplete set. So I keep my prior set on hand for in case that happens. It gives me a little bit of time until I have to find an armor crafter to make me a new set. Combine this with some really good dug mats I have recieved (excells and supremes that are hard to get to or to high for me to get right now) and I have found the need to clear out my apartment. I don't keep anything in there that I do not have a use for, or is hard to come by and will use later.
As for my suggestion for hired NPC's, this was mainly for people who were master diggers. Figured I would incorporate it into other masters, but that seems to have worked out badly. If a master digger can hire a helper, then they can go work on something else, rather then haveing to dig more mats. This allow the digger to work with lower-level players and create the whole team enviroment. I guess it wasn't that great of an idea, though.

Yes there is.... give us more space!!!!! :D

If you dont craft and have no space, then definately there is too little space available to players for storage, in the game.

I dont hoard stuff, I need all my gear, OK I have 10 sets of amps, maybe thats overkill, but everything else I need LOL :)

Anyway, lets just agree to disagree, as I said, I dont really mind it, But its just something I would like to see happen. :)

Where am I supposed to keep them? I have 27 different tp's, with at least 2 of each. Despite what people say, TP's do take up room (if you don't believe me, empty out your bag completely, including armor and jewels, then put all of you tp's in you bag, you'll see they do take up a decent amount of space), so I am not going to keep all of my TP's on me so that I can port anywhere whenever. I keep the TP's that I am currently using, plus one for Pyr on hand, that way I can quickly port back, get the needed tp, then go where-ever I need.

Now that its been dealt with from a crafters POV lets deal with it from a shopkeepers POV. I craft items primarily to sell to other players, I mainly craft 30q to 100q LA for beginners at the moment, I can place 128 items with a vendor, I would like to place more of, and different types of items up for sale but thats a discussion for another time. it's an unusual day that goes by without at least 5 LA items sold, and often I have sold as many as 15 in one day. I also sell smaller quantities of amps and swords. Eventually I will have other items for sale for beginners, MA, HA, knives etc.

What I would like to do is this, have a full stock of pre-crafted items so that if I sell a lot in short time its just a matter of quickly grabbing stock from the warehouse and putting it up for sale, what actually happens is this.

If I am lvling sword crafting and a lot of armour gets sold I have to stop lvling sword craft, go out into the wilds and harvest LA armour mats to craft LA for sale, then after that I get back to sword crafting. Of course if my storage is full for crafting swords I have to empty some out first so I can fit the mats I want to craft the LA.

So I want a WAREHOUSE for storing pre-crafted sets of armour etc. I am perfectly happy to pay up 5 or 10 million dappers for a WAREHOUSE, and I would be quite happy if it only stored crafted stuff, it would reduce so much running about its not funny :-)

My thoughts on how selling to players should be adjusted I have public elsewhere so I won't go into that now.

For crafters, especially those inclined in testing things, space requirements do not end in mastering the craft. Basically for tinkering around with recipes, the space needed for each mob drop and dug material type out there is quite large, especially if you want to tinker around with other than just the top tier stuff.

The people are creating alt guilds for getting extra storage space in the form of guildhalls, putting things on merchants for storage etc. all points out that there is actual need for that extra space. *You* might not need it but the practises of going around the regular storage limits is common enough (I reckon that even in these days) to underline that the current amount of storage is insufficient for certain player types.

Add in the tp tickets, I have about 100 for each kami TP in my apartment tucked away for times I need to use those, memorabilia from friends long gone from the game (I have stuff like spear crafted by Thiede, my first set of great non-OP amps done by Uma etc...)

If Ryzom were less crafting heavy than it is, the space would probably be sufficient, but as things stand the need of more storage space is IMHO very justified.
