I know that the old webkits are still available and have downloaded them all but there is one think sorely lacking: Guild badges.
We do have the guild logos (including a couple that do not exist in game, sadly). Unfortunately those are black images on white backgrounds meaning that there will always be some amount of artifacts left behind when trying to use them. Also, none of the badges are available. The end result is that putting up a guild emblem on a website is a less than exciting prospect unless you are skilled enough to duplicate your emblem yourself (screen shots leave a good deal of bleed through as well).
I would dearly love to see high resolution guild badges and logos (with transparency) available.

Well, the issue with this, of course, is the variety - when creating a guild, you have a choice of 20 or 30 logos, in black or white; against maybe ten background patterns, all with two hand-picked colours. It might be possible to provide the actual logos in black and white, on transparent backgrounds - the rest would be fairly easy to photoshop.

Yes, exactly what I would like...currently the last two web kits have all the logos in black on a white background....rather useless actually because of the white background.whiterider wrote:Well, the issue with this, of course, is the variety - when creating a guild, you have a choice of 20 or 30 logos, in black or white; against maybe ten background patterns, all with two hand-picked colours. I would love to have the exact black and white images available at the guild creation screen on transparent backgrounds. With those, it would be simple to create the actual colored with black/white logo guild emblems.

I could translate the basic shapes into vector, but not the intricate symbols. And I don't have time to do even the former.

The graphics might be able to be extracted for someone with knowledge of NeL. Are you sure the graphics are higher resolution in-game than the graphics provided in the webkit?
Second, you don't need transparencies. Use the image as a transparency on an all-black layer instead of the original image. (if you use it as both the image AND the transparency, you still end up with possible light colors in the gradient parts.) How you manage that depends on the graphics editing software you use. (and whether it's any good)

I should have thought of that!
Re: Webkits and Guild Emblems
Can wipe out the color with an overlay filter in any decent image editing program (Gimp, Photoshop...) if you don't need it to be that big. If you need it to be a bigger size, then you may have to re-draw it; it doesn't look to me as though they are kept as vector graphics in game.gralen wrote:Yes, exactly what I would like...currently the last two web kits have all the logos in black on a white background....rather useless actually because of the white background.

Actually, what I ended up doing was putting just the guild emblem above my head in game and then walked right up to the center pole of the stage in Zora. The bright yellow pole makes a good contrast behind the guild emblem, I then took a screen shot using Windows NOT the ingame screen shot and edited that with the masked logo as mentioned earlier in the thread. Worked like a charm.
Re: Webkits and Guild Emblems
I understand that the CTRL+F10 screenshot, being Jpeg compressed, is useless for that purpose. But why not use SHIFT+F10's uncompressed Targa? Aside from it being quicker to have the Windows screenshot in the clipboard ready to be pasted into your graphics editor.gralen wrote:I then took a screen shot using Windows NOT the ingame screen shot
