Today as i was replying on one thread some things that i missin this game come on my mind so i wished to post it here for open discussion and who know if some developer sii it too ...

What is most missing is some sort of need for group play, after we reached all continents there is no need to group and travel across Prime Roots to new places :( What can get us again in this exciting journays is to add need to get titles in some sort of dangerus missions. i dont know if to get title of lv 100 black mage you need to travel to some dangerus place and only after you do something you can advance and aquire new skills.

I think that most exciting will be that opening of all skill lines have to be realted to some sort of quest .. basicly if you wish to learn to craft living weapon you have to go and find craft trainer that live in some dangerus place and make for him a weapon of all supreme materials OF aproposite color .. living wepons ..= GREEN for example..

YOU wish to win title of IMPALER (lv 150 pike) you need to get to some place in lv 150 + zone and kill some monsters that you need to use your ignore armour skill?nothing else ..

To get that shiny lightning spells skill line you need to go and kill some monsters with it and trainer can be in some place without teleport and where you need a group of fighters to give you escort ;-)

- also I think that difference between supreme and choice is too small to give players reason to group and go kill Uber monsters. and that is what will be nice to have in game... reason to hunt UBER monsters.. whaat will be nice is to have some real STEP up from using best materials in crafting a.) more experience for crafter for making it, other design! I'm strongly against haveing medium quality and High quality items made from any material i think that it have to be aviable ONLY if you used some good materials like SUPREME or special materials in item. As it is now all medium and high quality will become as common as as normal stuff as there is no chalange/gain making it !!

- Item look have to follow Items quality GOOD item have to look GOOD i as crafter like that it is at first lok visible that i have made SUPREME materials item, now i buy medium plans and stat to make awafull items with golden look BLAHHHHH this is HORRIBLE ... please reconsider to make mediumm and high quality skill plans only but make it so that it is realted to skill needed to craft high quality items !! Basicly without High quality you cannot use supreme and excelent materials full potential. Without Medium quality you cannot use get full bonus from choice and you get only some bonus from excelent etc ...

Ryzom at moment make all items so easy accesable that game will become boring too fast .. there is no chalange needed to archive any goal EXCEPT traveling !! and i traveled all across all zones that i know of :P Pure leveling without some "quest" archivment like impression is danger to get people annoyed of same and repetitive kill , craft, harvest rutine ...

Tool crafting !!! IF we have tools there is need to have tool crafting too ...

How to make it work .. following what we hve in other skills i think that you need at last some QUALITY and LEVEL item to make items,, Basicly to craft SUpreme ql 150 armour you will need SUPREME ql 150 tool for optimal result if you use excelent tool you will get less chance of succes or you can use more material?..

Basicly less quality tool will make you consime more material and will lowe chance of succes.

Spell armour ... we need some sort of resistence to spells that what jewelery was intended as i understanded .. as it is now only defence i have against spells is a % of mage to fail to cast it but it will be nice that i can protect against spells somehow .. Idealy it will give you 90% protection to up to 2 type of spells and 55% to other 2 or some combinations..

Talking about spells it is so easy for a mage to have ALL spells that it is no sense .. :( ((( it is enough that you get lv 125 in one schooll and you can go and buy other race spell !! this spells have to be FAME based at last so that will not be sold to people who i dont like.

With this changes it can be made so that you have SENSE of archivment when you get some items.

Items .. we need beter armour protection with new incomming more damaging monsters what will be nice is to add new skills to improve armour crafting to over 55% for CERTAIN type off attacks but that this new skills are only quest aviable... basicly that crafter can make some 80% bludgeoning and 20% piercing armour or things like that ...

ONe idea to make traveling and fightning armound more interesting can be that for making outposts you need to TRAVEL to outpost with mules in caravan like !! what can be more exciting then a travel with mule pact to new location !! protect it with group ror all efort will be lost !!

Making continetn travel necesary can also be made if you close mule deposits for other countries it it VERY unlogic that i can acces my mules from any stable around world .. this can be offered as service you need to pay for or archive somehow but not so easy ...

FIXES .. please please fix bind locations i hate when i come to some place and i cannot buy ticket and i dont get my bind too ...

In short, there is a very very urgent need for actual content. A lot of people quit or become inactive (which in turn makes other people quit or become inactive) because they get bored...

The current degrade rates do not help, to say the least.

Well, either you typed very fast, or English isn't your native language :)

Nonetheless, talking about improving the game, I think the most important thing to add is a community-sense. Reading some threads in the general section gave me the idea that most players expect Nevrax to fill up all that is empty (well...empty in the eyes of the players) Where there is lack of 'storyline' or 'events' most tend to fill it up with game-elements that would satisfy the solo-style way of playing this game.

I think that there is much that we players can do ourselves. The invasions for instance, these events, created by the GM´s, bring together a large amount of players to fight off creatures. But why would we all sit and wait for things to fall from the sky? We are all Homins, some more then others looking for elements that seem more appropriate for single-player games rather than MMORPG's. Why not start to create our own events?

I say we all come together one day and fight off every last Kitin in Prime Roots!

Yep :( there is big work on things going on but game need a BIG movivation imput in as for now tools we have but all archivments come in so that you dont even notice that you gained new skills new items this need improvment ..

Content/Miisions/Guild Missions.

I have stopped playing for over a week now as once i hit my LvL100 i couldnt think of a reason to log in, apart for to grind some more. I need interesting Quests to do solo, i need quests that require groups, Guild quests. Hopefully Patch 1 has some of this.

Some more ideas for improving the game:

Provide a way that the players can impact the game world. At the moment there are 4 realms of very distinct people and it is difficult to travel between the realms. The realms are, in turn, being invaded by kitins. It would be really good - in my opinion - if there was an obvious need for diplomacy between the realms. Ie if the kitin invasions were building up to a strength where one realm could not defend itself alone but needed to collaborate with other realms.

For this to happen there would need to be a reason why the players would not just sit back and moan that its too hard - ie there could be some loss incurred if the defence is not successfull. Perhaps NPC's could be killed (ie a loss of trainers) or buildings could be destroyed (the stables could be demolished etc).

What I'd like to see is the players, out of necessity, appointing diplomats and ambassadors to the other realms - even a leader or council - to negotiate a mutual defence against the kitins. But there's no real need to do so at the moment.

I would also like to see better tools to coordinate large scale combat. At the moment you can have 8 people in a group - thats fine but if you have 64 people in an area wanting to coordinate themselves its very hard. Especially as you only have region chat or around to talk to members of other teams.

A suggestion for how this might be improved could be: keep it to 8 people per group, thats fine. But allow the leaders of each group to join another group as well - so you can have a tier system of command, with a seperate chat box for each one.

So for 64 people, you'd have a group of leaders - with the leader of that group in overall command. Each member (except the leader) of this group would command their own group of 8 people. The leader could then issue orders in the command group chat, which the team leaders could pass onto their individual teams in the team chat.

Along with this could be to provide mechanisms to elect certain positions in the realm - eg leader, warlord, diplomat, treasurer etc to get each realm running as a player-driven economy-based entity.

I'd really like to see more ways that players can integrate into the game and build on the roleplay/interaction between other players and other realms.

Lastly - would it be possible for realms (or even guilds if it has to be a guild based game) to fund the building of outpost towers with guards, in the gameworld. These would obviously be very expensive but could be a way that a realm can help make passage between realms easier. So they might well cost 50 million or so, but then you have a 'safe spot' which players can run to if they are attacked. Through collaboration with other guilds, and building up enough money, it would be possible to build a safe path to each portal as the guards would defend a fixed area. These could then in turn be destroyed by the kitin during an invasion. I kind of get the impression that thats the idea with the outposts but there's big gaps between them and I wonder why not allow completely free building within the world. Makes the players feel far more empowered if they can build wherever they want.

some quick ideas for GM-initiated content, as I keep mouthing off about this but should really give some examples:

Fighter-type plot:
Hunt the White Kippee - release a kippee somewhere in each realm, that is targeted so the highest lvl in game currently could just solo it, or could be taken down by a group. Carries a unique item which may or may not do anything - perhaps you can craft a unique item from it

A duellist who travels the land challenging people - charges 100k gold to fight him and pays 500k if you beat him. This is played by a guide so you can roleplay with him.

Crafter plot:
A female npc(queen/princess etc) travels the realms, perhaps with a large bodyguard so she can actually travel rather than teleporting (which is very lame for plot characters) and commissions the crafting of an outfit for a ball - the ball itself could be a general event, with localised music and just general social chatting. She gives the crafters a week and then chooses the one she likes best based on looks, material its made from, as well as dull stuff like stats. The winner gets the title Royal Crafter or similar plus a payment of cash

Foraging plot:
A starfall lands, dropping a big rock in each realm which have a limited Mat content that can be harvested. This has some unique properties - perhaps maxed out in one area. Could also be a magnet for mobs..

General plot:
Message carrying - npc commissions a messenger to travel to another realm. Maybe carrying a delicate item that wouldn't survive the rigours of portal travel so it must be done on foot.

Guard the packer - a (human) NPC has a packer full of a certain type of mat that he has to get to Fyros from Matis due to a shortage. He's never been before and doesn't have any spawn points and will hire an escort - 100k to the first 8 who volunteer and succeed in getting him through. If he or the packer dies then the deals off.

those are off the top of my head - I'm sure with some time it would be easy to come up with lots of better, more involved ones and don't seem to be a lot of effort for the devs to do. Why not have a few events like this happening every week?

Really amazing ideas Krome! I especially love the one about crafting a dress for a ball, but then I am a girl ;)

Just a sidenote, the *only* way to get these ideas to the devs is to post them in the feedback posting.

The devs don't read the forums and the mods do not send them anything exept the posts in the fedback thread.
