They could, but I have to be on to do it for them, and chances are I wouldn't be, so they would either go elsewhere or buy inferior items becasue they NEED them right away.dakhound wrote:people would still see your name on crafted bits and ask "can you do this style"

Re: Make trade markets universal
maybe an option to "sell as set" then to offset lowered slots
(along with the much wanted "equip as set")

Realistic like a pvp flag? or perhaps safe zones around TPs/ portals? are those realistic?whiterider wrote:It's not very realistic, though. To be properly realistic, only the one merchant would have whatever.
Course not. But they are there for the betterment of the players. The same could be said of the universal markets. I would even go as far as to remove the quality restriction on vendors for a whole continent, but then limit the markets to just continents. Its stupid to make the crafting system in this game any more of a PITA than it already is.
Also the implementation of a universal-style trade channel would be welcome, I'm sure. Especially if they're not going to remove the stupid 7-day and its gone system that is in place now. I'm sure the WoW players are worried on this one since the trade chat in WoW is notorious for getting out of hand. And to be sure there is the potential for abuse unless its policed or at least limited in what can be typed. Perhaps have a UI that simply allows you to check certain boxes that then enters an ad into the trade chat.... like checking Heavy Armor Crafter, q220, focus, hp and stam boxes and the game then comes up with
"Morgaine is now crafting Heavy Armor up to q220 with focus, hp and stam bonuses available."
Could even add a location box so that it will add where the crafter is to avoid a mass of tells all asking where you are.

Re: Make trade markets universal
Ok some of this sounds a bit over complicated, but I DO like the "sell as a set" option, that would save buyers and sellers a lot of time. At the moment the buyers have to go through each item listing to get my LA sets. They need to look at the gloves made by me at the desired quality, then scroll down to the boots of the correct quality and view each set to find the same bonus boots made by me and etc etc etc, yes I do like that idea. After all very few people need to replace just ONE bit of armour unless they accidently destroy or sell it. It would also be super handy for jewels.totnkopf wrote:Realistic like a pvp flag? or perhaps safe zones around TPs/ portals? are those realistic?

Regarding your about the trade channel, I think there should be an option to find a list of armour makers and what sort of gear they are available to make, sort of like a classified ad, and then to be able to put in an order for special stuff, thus avoiding the not on the server issue. Maybe even pay in advance (refundable of course if the crafter doesn't come through with the goods) and and delivery location where the buyer who ordered is the only one who can see the goods there for him.
Basically there are lots of things that can be done to make the system better for both buyer and seller, just got to wait for the devs to get around to it.

Would be nice if we could have a certain amount of slots from our apartments to be used as a personal shop... only accessible at our apartment.zhaxor wrote:Personally my favorite would be to have my own shop, at a high cost of course, where I could list just my best stuff, all my Sup Amps and things like that so they don't get mixed up with the general run of the mill choice and ex stuff. Also they could be made uiversal by me, if I want, I just travel to each market and pay a fee to have my shop opened and stuff listed there as well.

The option to "sell as set" would be very nice indeed.
I don't think limiting items on the market to 20 per player would do much to solve the problem though; for dedicated market stockers it would often still be too little, while the vast majority of players who really don't care about the market would still fill their 20 slots with junk.
And there does need to be a way to clear out old items. Personally I'd like to see something like the 1-week limit expanded to 2 weeks, and then giving the players some way to reset the timer on their merchant stuff; an effort that those players who just put junk on likely wouldn't make.
A system where more merchants slots and/or time on the merchants could be gained by obtaining more actual sells to players could be nice, but would probably be easy to abuse.
