Event Time Schedule

Post by sesune »

Please vote realistically on which times you are most likely able to attend events. This poll is intended to curb my own curiosity (also based on my accessible times) and also to hint the event team if their time schedule is right or not. :)

You may vote for more than one zone.. but please don't get carried away! :o

PS. If you voted other, please let us know which GMT time you prefer.

8 pm GMT is the only "likely" one for me though, 6PM GMT would be 7pm for me, which would be dinner time, all the rest is to me middle of the night or morning xD

Our guild has a near 50/50 split EU/US, we tend to find 8pm GMT a pretty good time for both sides, but I would imagine anytime between 8pm and midnight, would get good support from our membership.

It really depends... I voted for GMT 0:00 AM because it's the only one that works for me during the week due to work, but for weekend events any of those times would be OK with me.

Voted 8:00 PM GMT because 0:00 AM GMT really is too late for me. However, 10:00 PM GMT would be just as well for me and probably make it more accessible to the Americans.

Personally I liked the legacy event schedule where events with CSR team were around 6 or 8 PM GMT, followed with an encore presentation for the NA audience around 4 to 6 PM PST. In the past these events were only scheduled for the weekend to allow flexibility of the "traditional work week". The post poll times, the last event scheduled time (during the week no less) and the first server merge were all biased towards the European crowd. I hope that the CSR's/devs can try to keep this game "all inclusive" as much as possible as to not alienate the client based on geography.

Waiting for the SoR devs to make an update since April 2004 (besides Mounts & OP's. Don't even bother mentioning Ring).

It seems a majority of players are leaning towards 8pm GMT. I think this is fine as a greater number of players are from North America and Europe. However, this really isolates players residing in Asia from official events.

Select few (myself included) who has the opportunity to reschedule their daily routine have to make a lot of sacrifices to be able to catch an event. While this isn't bad in the short-term it is only proper for spiderweb to consider that a large group of English speaking, mature and helpful MMORPG players reside in Asia region and to them the privilege of attending an 8pm GMT event is almost nonexistent.

I guess the International shard will always be targeted at the NA/EU crowd. Oh well, let the votes continue. :)
