a gm asked me to get help here with my problem so here i am.

Post by lordzren »

im the race with the mask but i am stuck.

there is never anymore than about 20 people online in all the zori regions.

i am lvl 40 fight 45 magic so i cannot travel alone.

i asked the gm where people are because i need to trade for new armor and i wanted to find a team as i have done it solo most of the way. ( only found 2 teams so far) but he/she told me "thre are people about but i cannot tell you how to find them ;) " this didnt help much.

can somebody tell me where to go to meet people or how i am to get to where people are?

i rearly want to play this race and dont want to make a new chr just so i can find a team but its looking like i will have to

Your best bet is to join a guild or look in some of the other areas inside zorai. The global channel doesn't cover the entire landmass, only the part you are in (i.e. cities of intuition, the void, grove of umbra, etc)

ya know that about global chat. i travel all around zorai in all the zones. still nobody ever seems to be on. i made a mantis chr and just went straight to the mainland there is LOTS of people there. same with the desert race.

i am in a guild with a friend from an old game. we want to keep our guild very small due to roleplay and instead build allies with other guilds rather than join them ourselves. saying that i can never find any guild around in zorai who would help with transport to mantis or anywere else.

if there is somebody who could help me this would be fantastic.

example it took me 3 days of constantly asking for me to find somebody who was selling a ql60 staff and that was used lol.

Sorry to hear that you having a hard time finding teams or builds. I spend a lot of time solo and sometimes I find myself in regions alone. It wasn't very hard being that I'm a Tryker. I so look forward to when my buddies and guildmates come on. I am seeing things turn around. The Tryker population is growing and we get new visitors from different lands every day.

Grouping is difficult. Most find a group of people and stick with them. Some players even turn off Region chat so that it doesn't distract them from their role-playing or to cut down the number of misstells. Some guilds insist/take advantage on using products like TeamSpeak in lieu of the internal chat system. Another factor is people want to group with people of similar levels for maximum experience and minimum equipment decay. Throw in a pinch of greed too, while we're at. But from time to time you'll find a group of folks that aren't like all that (good or bad, whatever) and you go off and have fun together and help each other out. I suggest finding out what guild they are in and join it.

Access to q51+ mats seems to be an issue all over. Some obviously more than others (I'm a Tryker remember). So getting q60 equipment can be troublesome. A lot of the good crafters have been swallowed up by guilds who promise them easy access to hordes of foragers in exchange for their services. Many a post have said that crafters can't keep up with the demands of their guild's warriors as their armor decays faster than they can grind. Hence the lack of equipment or the expense of what is offered.

Oops, I'm noticing that I'm not helping... let's recap... join a guild, wait in line for your equipment... pray to Jena that Patch One is all we hope it will be... and use Region chat responsibly... and if you find your way to Trykerland, say hi. I'd like to see Zorailand too, just can't get through Bounty Beaches yet, let alone the Prime Roots. And PLEASE no short jokes! (grr, that stupid Matis... if he hadn't been powerleveled to 150+ I'd have cut him down to size!)

The lands of the Zorai are the least populated, and sadly alot of people will ignore you unless you are in the same guild, which kind of sucks. But hey, if you're around and need a hand with something feel free to /t Fuzz. If I can I'll usually lend a hand. Ah yeah, you don't have to be in the same guild to talk to me either heh.

my advice is to not only ask for groups all the time, when your playing solo use the global chat and say hello, answer someones question or just small tack, when your leaving just say good night or something. this way ppl will remember your name and think that your a nice guy. thus giving you a easier time grouping.

just be a little social, noo need to tell your life story to everyone ^^

I have to agree with pretty much everyones responses to you, though I am not a frequent visitor to the jungle. Each time I pop in I say hello in region and get responses from folks. I also run into folks while traveling there and say howdy. There is also a large guild with good players (Tho I see them all over Atys too  )... it may be partially due to the reputation you have (I dont know, just going by the posts I have seen you make) or timing. I was thinking about making some Zorai weapons, I asked in region where a resource was and was taken to it... It's surely not an empty zone.

Timezones probably have some effect, but there should be overlap...
