Dear Players,

It's a little news today, as you may have read in a previous news, we mentioned that the free period might be extended. Well you can enjoy it for a while longer; it's going to stay in effect at least until the end of November. This is because it's taking longer than expected to finish the very large amount of paper work required to re-establish the payment system (billing).

Since this message was posted. There appears to have been a mass exodus from Atys. Don't know what its like in other servers.

I guess lame excuses don't inspire confidence.

Come on Spiderweb, get your act together, lets get this game moving before the intertia is lost completely.

Can also spend a HUGE amount of time waiting for bureaucracies to grind through the paperwork you already sent them, and then they give you more paperwork and send you to the back of the line again. I suspect this is the case.

The majority of the exodus is, to be blunt, people who were never going to subscribe anyway. As much as we'll miss them, they weren't going to do Spiderweb any good.

There are still good, smart people coming in on Silan. Let's maybe all try not to scare them away, huh? Just a thought.

In my humble and not necessarily correct opinion they re-opened the game too early before the billing started. Maybe they didn't know just how long it would take but every one's had several months now to return to the game, remember how good it is, level something new from 0-250 and now want something added. If they were able to re-open it about a month or two before the billing started I and probably many others would have re-subbed no questions asked or even wondered about, but now... now I kinda want something a bit more concrete to go on. Now it will be that much harder to restart this game in a profitable way than it would have been if it was kept closed until much closer to the billing/possibly more content date. I'm back playing something else now but on the absolute guarantee that as soon as it looks like something big might change here I'll come running back faster than you can count the spots on a varynx....

Sure, SW will probably do a fine job of that on their own.

Excuse my scepticism, it just feels as though, to be blunt, the same people are making the same mistakes. However, yes, it's still relatively early days, I'm still hoping they can deliver. Just watch out for those few extra "grace months" turning in to "gullible years".

Point, but it's just as valid to say that waiting longer before re-opening would've led to all of us getting tired of waiting in limbo and more of us getting settled in other games, who are now still playing Ryzom.
