The first Karavan quest asks you to "forage OR loot" Goo Residue, yet I have been unable to prospect any traces of the stuff thus far. I admit I hesitated to remain on the purple ground for long, since I was receiving damage warnings, even though I saw no obvious indication I was being hurt at the time...
Both the Wiki and the guide in this section state "forage OR loot" in their text descriptions, yet they only mention which MOBs to KILL to find each item.
So before I waste more time and become frustrated with this game I have only just begun to re-explore (I tried the Beta, but couldn't afford the monthly fee) could someone please tell me if they HAVE successfully prospected for goo, and at least a nudge as to where on the map to look?

SW- edge of that area you can dig residue or just kill frippos,ocyx or caprynis in that area
