Launcher Failure

Game will hang when launching, Task Manager lists Client in active processes but nothing seems to be running.

Edit:

Running XP
Have tried
Reinstalling
Redownloading
Shutting Virus Scane and Firewall down completely

Can you be more specific at what stage the client hangs?

Startup, Click Exe and it hangs.

Sometimes the clients login window opens minimized. So if you see a Ryzom tab in the task bar, clicking on it should let the login window appear.

The client shows up in "Processes" but not "Applications" in Task Manager, no window to bring up it never gets that far.

Same thing happens to me, it eventualy launches...sometimes not, it can take from 30 minutes to, well....hours

If you are using Vista, please refer to the thread here.

Otherwise, please try installing the game to C:/Ryzom/ while logged in as an Administrator and getting back to us. Ensure that you have full access rights to whichever folder you have installed the game to.
