Karavan and Kami missions on Silan

I am playing Fryos and am finishing up the quests given by the Kami and Karavan on Sialn. I noticed that when I completed the first mission from the Karavan officer, it gave me a boost in fame with them. However, I did not see a boost when I completed the first Kami mission. Am I bugged? Did I miss the notification? Or do Fryos not get boosts with Kami on low level missions? What level should a Fryos have with the Kami if they have only completed the first quest given by each side?

EDIT: changed "reputation" to "fame"... Also, I just completed the second missions for each side and got a Kami fame boost but no Karavan fame boost. I guess you don't get a boost for each mission, just some.
