Yep I would have been playing this game a couple years ago. But the company failed soo badly at advertising that I've barely heard a few whispers about the game. Then when the developers lucked out and I accidentally ran into the website they didn't make it clear enough that it is NOT a 'world of everquest' type game, but rather looked like one that was that had some crafting in it.

So I see the new company having a banner contest are they actually going to advertise and get onto the front pages of MMORPG sites? It really isn't that hard to offer a handful of interviews to different sites, get into an IRC chat on some, and make sure press releases are up to date on them is it? After all people actually read the stuff and it's 50 times more effective at traffic generation than an ad that will get ignored since it's content instead of annoyance.

Pretty much ignoring PR and press stuff made the developers cut themselves. There really isn't that much competition for sandbox games I mean seriously people who don't like a fourth of EvEs mechanics still play it for lack of a better alternative, SecondLife is bugware, and the handful indy games are well indy. The previous companies pretty much have no excuse for failing so badly to get such a polished and awesome game out when there are soo many easy ways to do so.
