Patcher / Downloader freezes

Well, Every time i start ryzom and log in, it starts the downloader. But the downloader freezes and i have to close it by task manager. Any help?

to the client.cfg in your ryzom root directory.

I get the same problem, among many others.
I tried the fix, and vista won't let me make changes to the cfg file. It says permission to modify denied.

Are you not using an admin account?

Yes, I'm admin. I'm also the only account on the computer. On a side note, the first time I ever downloaded it, I had no trouble playing. A single crash, and I had to uninstall. Now I can install, play fine once, then have to uninstall/reinstall in order to play again. Patcher will freeze, or I'll get a variety of errors. No crashes when I exit.

next time install it to your 'My Documents' or 'Desktop' or 'My Programs' (if ther is such a thing) folder where you have full access as a _user_. even tho you running under 'admin' user, you need to specifically tell windows to give all admin privileges to program (right-click -> run as...). privileges such as writing permissions to 'Program Files' folder.
