He he, I laughed about the suggestion that jumping should cost stamina, not that it's a bad idea but I'd be surprised if it ever got implemented by any game. It's just such a simple thing I'd doubt a dev would see jumping as something that needs 'gameplay'.

I myself don't mind there's no jumping, well so far. ;) It is a bit different since I'm used to games with z axis enabled but it doesn't take away from the sheer beauty of the game and the fact that the running animations are so well done they make up for a lack of jumping ability in my opinion. And pining for jumping in Ryzom at this point might be asking for a lot.

I played a game that would 'charge' you for jumping, can't remember the name of it right off hand though, lol. Makes jumping strategic because you can not only move over obstacles, but also dodge attacks and stuff.

Would take INSANE amounts of coding to put in a z-axis to a game that doesn't have it though, not really worth it.

Oblivion uses stamina when you jump. It's not actually a restriction on it, in that you can use it even if you have no stamina, but it does add a little strategy to when you run and jump in combat.
