Thanks for the Fish

Post by babaloui »

Although I wanted to stick it out I am leaving the game and want to wish you all well.
For any who care here are my reasons:

1) Still no mid level mats in Tryker and no mention as to when..I didnt see any mention of it in Patch 1.
2) I try over and over..I cant get into Muse to harvest. I am 82 melee and had help of others who did it. Hours have been spent on this-not my idea of fun.
3) Tryker is dead now..I cant get into borderland much less out. There is no one around and that is the whole point of an MMO-the community. Took 2 weeks for me to get weapons and armor upgrade that are still below my level.
4) a long time before launch there was mention of GvG-what about now...not a word-should be ready at launch even if people are not high enough level to do it.
5) As dead as it is now in 2-3 weeks EQ2 and WoW will decimate the population here further. I could care less that SoR can still do business...why play if no one is around?
6) The Devs/GMs are good about communitcating and responding to small issues but completely ignore the Major issues (mats in Tryker for Ex)
7) No argument can be made that this game was ready for launch. I am not talking the normal growing pain MMO nonsense, I mean critical flaws that they HAD to be aware of.
8) With no end game, community, macro support I have reached my tolerance's end-Its just not fun. It may be for others who got the heck out of Tryker, not for me and in the final analysis this is supposed to be a fun stress release for me.

There were many things I like about the game. For me however, the critical flaws are fatal flaws.

Enjoy everyone and good luck

Nope, deleting game from drive. Going to try WoW next. Wont play until that game. Free trial over anyways. I get billed Monday. Patch 1 didnt have the mat fix nor have they mentioned anything about it, which is not unanacceptable. If you arent in this situation, then good on you. My post isnt a flame of the game. If the Devs want to know why myself (and my brother and couple of friends) are quitting -there it is. They simply dropped the ball.

They don't announce everything that will be implemented in patch notes, cerest has already mentioned this. As for harvesting in the borderlands, Loria, while still just as full of nasties, does have greater windows of opportunity for passage, so harvesting (especially around lake superior) can be done rather safely if you are careful and attentive. If it is gear you need, I have been out in the fields foraging my little tryker butt off trying to get up a good stock of choice-excellent-supreme mats to take custom orders in Liberty Lake and abroad, and I will be offering them at a fair price. There are a number of multi-civilization guilds out there, that if contacted would galdly make another trek through the outlands to come and greet and escort their newest members to new lands.

P.S. Second day after getting the game, I was able to navigate across loria, including across areas that could be safely harvested, while only level 55 in 2h melee fight.

People are leaving because they are afraid that people will leave, thereby making themselves part of the problem. Why not stay and be part of the solution instead? As mentioned above, some of the problems you are having are or will be taken care of soon. And considering Nevvy's record at dealing with customer issues, I'm sure the rest will be handled in short order as well. (I have never dealt with a CS as quick to respond to customer problems as Nevvy. I doubt I will, the support here is, imo, unsurrpassed!)

I guess its too little too late for me..I did Loria, I'm not talking about that. Muse which is the better spot is what I reffered to. If they fixed mats in Patch 1 then why not say? In the end, I will no longer wait for this game to be fun and have a purpose. If you can then more power to ya. But people are leaving because of the game not because of the spectere of people leaving-I hear it in chatter all the time. Guilds are dying, no one is in the regions-its dead and getting worse. To me its a game not a religion. It stopped being fun and was/is broken.TIme to move on.

Good bye~

Sorry to see another person, who can't rise above negativity and see the chance for a brighter future, leave the game.
