Downloading Problems

I downloaded the client and used the Bittorent link. I log in fine but can't get pass the checking files for patch and get Launching Ryzom downloader. It stays there and nothing happens. How can I fix it?

Have you tried the steps from this thread? including the link in it to vista set-up guide if you are using vista.

Funny that you point me to that link because I wasn't getting that message until I did the following:

I first thought it was my firewall and manually enter all ports from this thread. I also found this thread and because my system uses nvidia I changed to Direct3D, although a bit premature from my part because I don't have any graphical issues, I haven't been able to get in game yet. [sigh] I also downloaded the Ryzom Fixer and it says that its running correctly or that there are no errors - I really can't remember word for word but the message was that it was fine. And after all that I got the error message, and I already deleted the client.cfg file. I still get the same error message. [dbl sigh] LOL

I'm currently defragmenting my disk. Please don't say I have to un-install and re-install because I'm going to screem. I've been downloading Ryzom since 12noon and it is now 10:44pm. It took me 7hr even with bittorent.

After yesterdays try I had to uninstall and reinstall the client and this time I didn't use bittorent. Now I have a new problem. The client donwloads only 88% and won't complete. I need some help.
