An "official" torrent of the new version(if there is one) would be a good idea. A few fans hosting seeds could make the 4GB download fly for people wanting to try it for the first time. It would also save the new owners a lot of (expensive?) bandwidth.

I'd gladly host a seed capped at 100KB/s. 10-20 others doing the same would be huge.

In about 24 hours, one seed could become dozens.
