what card is best for me or this game

this game was designed around N-vidia cards so i guess you will be better off geting one of their high end cards. However i'm using ATI and don't have any problems at all.

HI, I have a athlon 2.6 with 512k ram and 750k cable. i have a Ati 9000 at the mo and the game crawls.

any ideas

i have a old ati 8500 128mg and the game works great, if you wan't to stay with ati get at least a 9600, and i would upgrade the memory to 1gb(makes a huge difference on hard disk activity).

the 9000 is abit slow for those kind of games

Go with a nvidia card.

Id say go nvidia unless your thinking about buying the best on the market at the moment. The new ATI is better then the new NVidia in benchmark, but most older Nvidia are better then older ATI. Take a look a tomshardware.com, its a really good reference for choosing hardware.

running a p4 2.4 1gb ddr with a r9600 128 ddr

runs like a dream...well cept fromt he crashes caused by hard drive defragmentation (too much downloading) =]
